Foundational

Professional Certification

The Professional-level courses provide insight, perspective, and context to the key functionality that’s pertinent for successfully managing data within the tools that each of the learning tracks contain. These courses act as pre-requisites to the Expert-level offerings within the same track.

FAQs

If you’ve registered for a course you can no longer attend, follow these simple steps.

Please be prepared with a WIFI compatible laptop or device with a charging cord. This is to ensure you can fully participate in all our hands-on exercises. We will provide a training environment for the duration of the course to duplicate the experience of the OneTrust platform.

After completion of the course, you will have 30 days to take the open note Certification Exam. Once you pass the OneTrust Certification Exam you will receive a Certificate and be issued a digital badge. You can share your accomplishment on social media – be sure to tag @OneTrust so we can celebrate with you!

Each of our OneTrust certification classes (except ESG Professional) is worth a number of continuing education credit hours for attending. Continuing Privacy Education (CPE) credits from our privacy courses may only be redeemed if you already hold an IAPP certification, and credits from our GRC courses may only be redeemed if you hold an OCEG GRCP certification. Upon course completion, you will receive confirmation of the credits via email.

Badges are issued once per week. Please allow up to five (5) business days after earning a certification to receive the email to accept your badge.

Once you earn a certification, you will receive an email from admin@credly.com with a link to set up your Credly account and accept your new badge. To make sure you receive your badge notification email, and that it doesn't wind up in your spam folder, add admin@credly.com as a Contact or Safe Sender in your email settings.

For any badge-related questions, please reach out to training@onetrust.com for assistance.

Using the handbook you received and any notes you may have taken, you should be able to successfully complete the exam. You will have two attempts to take and pass the exam.

One year. To renew your OneTrust certification, there is no need to re-attend class. You only need to pass the latest version of your certification exam. Exam renewals are sent to certified individuals automatically as their one-year expiration date gets closer.

As of May 1, 2023, the trophy program has been discontinued. Rest assured you are still able to obtain the prestigious status of becoming a OneTrust Fellow of Privacy Technology. You will need to obtain the Privacy Professional Certification along with all Expert certifications in order to be eligible for the OneTrust Fellow.

You must register and attend the class for the respective certification.

Note: Attendance of the full training is required to be enrolled in the subsequent exam.

Upon attending the full training, you will be sent a link to complete the certification exam. The exam must be completed within 30 days of attending the class.
