Connect & Engage: A Virtual Series for our Ethics & Compliance Community

At OneTrust, we believe in the power of building a community of professionals who are passionate about creating ethical businesses. One of the ways we build community is through our Ethics and Compliance virtual series, which focuses on regulatory background and requirements, various paths to compliance, practical tips, and most importantly, templates.

Agenda

Topic: Investigations

Conducting investigations is not easy. This is an area that can be uncertain and emotional, if not handled properly, leading to legal and regulatory issues. But there are strategies and elements that you can put into place to arrive at trustworthy, comprehensive and efficient investigations.

Speakers

Jisha Dymond, Chief Ethics & Compliance Officer, OneTrust

Marianne Fogarty, Former VP, Chief Compliance Officer, Twitter

Joseph Alesia, Head of Investigations

Topic: Risk Assessments

We have all heard the common refrain from government agencies: a good compliance program starts with a risk assessment. So what are the elements of a good risk assessment that, and this is key, also provides value in making strategic trade-off decisions? While there are many kinds of risk assessments, some models are better to conduct a compliance risk assessment.

Speakers

Jisha Dymond, Chief Ethics & Compliance Officer, OneTrust

Liz Barbosa, Sr. Director of Risk, Fanduel

Lynda Daniel, Director of Client Service Risk, McKinsey & Company

Topic: Third-Party Applications & Ephemeral Apps

The DOJ recently updated their messaging app policy to refine their earlier prohibition on such apps. Companies are no longer expected to prohibit employees from using ephemeral messaging, but instead are required to implement appropriate guidance and controls over these types of platforms and communications. In the age of BYOD, however, this has proved to be practical nightmare. The financial sector has already seen settlements in the billions of dollars in this area. So how do we comply?
