Demonstrating GDPR compliance with Europrivacy criteria: The European Data Protection Seal
Organisations processing EU citizens data have gone a long way with the implementation of a privacy program that aligns with the requirements of GDPR. Now, that so much work has been done, privacy professionals face another question: how do we reliably show and measure our activities’ privacy compliance? How can we demonstrate to our boards, executive leadership, customers, and general public that our organisation’s activities have taken all the hard work to meeting the highest privacy standards, under the GDPR?
Ensuring alignment with the regulation is one factor, however, demonstrating privacy compliance externally can take your business to the next level as it can improve your reputation and fast-track onboarding of new customers as well as privacy vendor reviews.
Europrivacy is the first and only certification scheme whose criteria have been officially approved by the European Data Protection Board (EDPB) to serve as the European Data Protection Seal and its officially approved criteria enable to check and document compliance of data processing with the GDPR obligations.
